About this role
Vast seeks a Construction Project Engineer to support the development and construction of human-rated space stations in Long Beach. You'll coordinate with vendors, manage project documentation, monitor budgets and timelines, and facilitate communication between engineering teams and field operations.
What you'll do
- Support all aspects of project implementation and coordinate with executive leadership
- Create scopes of work and obtain competitive bids from contractors
- Conduct job walk-downs with vendors, engineers, and supervisors
- Vet vendors with purchasing department for approval and insurance compliance
- Review technical plans and specifications; track RFIs between field and engineering teams
- Monitor project costs, progress, and maintain comprehensive project documentation
