Manufacturing Engineer II (Propulsion)
About this role
Varda seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to scale propulsion system production from prototype to high-volume builds. You'll own end-to-end manufacturing processes for valve assemblies, tube fabrication, pressure vessels, and engine integration while driving continuous improvement and increased build cadence.
What you'll do
- Manage complete manufacturing workflows for propulsion systems including valve assembly, tube fabrication, pressure vessel and engine integration
- Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and specifications for high-pressure fluid systems
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for propulsion defects, leaks, and contamination issues
- Establish and enforce cleanliness protocols and contamination control procedures for propellant systems
- Define tooling and test equipment requirements for tube shop and acceptance testing operations
- Collaborate with design and supply chain teams to optimize work cell layouts and support concurrent vehicle production

- Tube fabrication, bending, and high-pressure fluid system assembly
- Engineering drawings and P&ID interpretation
- Propulsion cleanliness requirements and contamination control

- High-pressure hardware testing and verification
