Until
Engineer, Hibernation Team
About this role
Until seeks an engineer to develop cryopreservation hardware and software systems for preserving biological organisms at subzero temperatures. You'll own the full technical stack—mechanical design, electrical systems, and software—to advance the company's goal of reversible organ and whole-body preservation for transplantation and future medicine.
What you'll do
- Design and fabricate mechanical cryopreservation hardware systems
- Develop and integrate electrical components and control systems
- Build software architecture and applications for the preservation process
- Conduct end-to-end testing and validation of systems
- Serve as principal engineer for whole-body cryopreservation feasibility studies in rodent models
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on perfusion, formulation, and rewarming solutions
What they're looking for
- Mechanical engineering and design
- Hardware fabrication and prototyping
- Electrical engineering and circuit design
- Software architecture and development
- Systems integration and testing
