About this role
TRM Labs seeks a Backend Engineer to design and maintain third-party API integrations and scalable platform infrastructure for AI-powered intelligence products. You'll build reliable connectors and services that enable TRM's systems to safely access external data sources while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's mission in financial crime prevention.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain third-party API integrations for AI-native products and workflows
- Develop scalable integration infrastructure and shared services to accelerate data source onboarding
- Build reliable APIs, backend services, and data pipelines supporting high-volume mission-critical operations
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data teams, and stakeholders to translate integration needs into technical roadmaps
- Improve platform quality, observability, reliability, and maintainability as usage scales
- Participate in on-call rotation (approximately weekly, every 4-6 weeks) to support production systems

- Cross-functional collaboration and project ownership
- OSINT data sources (preferred)
- AI production systems (preferred)
