About this role

Skild AI seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop electro-mechanical hardware for robotic systems, including haptic devices and exoskeletons for teleoperation and human-robot interaction. You'll design prototypes, create CAD models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

What you'll do

  • Design, prototype, and test hardware systems for human-robot interaction applications
  • Create detailed CAD models and technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies
  • Develop and test hardware prototypes using 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques
  • Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers to integrate hardware with overall system design
  • Conduct testing and simulations to verify functionality and reliability of hardware
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and prepare design documentation and specifications
