About this role
Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary specializing in advanced mesh networking for defense and public safety, seeks a Wireless Communication Systems Engineer to develop next-generation MANET and MIMO technologies. You'll lead design, simulation, prototyping, and field testing efforts across the complete wireless development lifecycle in their West Los Angeles R&D headquarters.
What you'll do
- Design wireless systems, develop specifications, and conduct algorithmic development and simulation
- Perform system performance benchmarking, testing, and fixed-point modeling with FPGA support
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams on product and feature development projects
- Design and execute lab and field testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation
- Support FPGA and software teams during hardware/software implementation
- Participate in business development efforts and occasional customer engagement travel
