Long Beach, CaliforniaFrom $156kmidAdded 1 month ago

About this role

Relativity Space seeks a Vehicle Structures Engineer II to design and deliver critical flight structures for the Terran R rocket, from concept through manufacturing and testing. You'll own multiple structural components across thrust structures, propellant tanks, interstages, and fairings while collaborating with additive manufacturing, design, test, and dynamics teams in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop structural load paths and design complex structures with integrated system packaging
  • Perform static and dynamic analysis to size flight structures and support design reviews
  • Plan and execute hardware test campaigns including integration, operation, and data evaluation
  • Support manufacturing process development and design of tooling and fixtures
  • Review load inputs, material properties, and system requirements across structures and subsystems
  • Drive projects from concept to launch-ready hardware on schedule and within budget

What they're looking for

  • Structural analysis and FEA
  • Aerospace structures design experience
  • Load path and load case analysis
  • CAD and design software proficiency
  • Hardware testing and test planning
  • Manufacturing process knowledge
  • Material properties and composite design
  • Project ownership and technical leadership

Benefits

  • Work on cutting-edge rocket technology with tangible hardware impact
  • Hands-on ownership of flight-critical components
  • Collaborative environment across multiple engineering disciplines
