About this role

Reddit is seeking a Software Engineer for its Data Movement team, focusing on enhancing scalable data platforms to support machine learning and analytics workflows. The ideal candidate will help improve infrastructure and streamline the processing of vast amounts of data generated by Reddit’s active user base.

What you'll do

  • Maintain and refine data infrastructure for ML and analytics workflows
  • Own the Data Movement Platform for batch and stream data processing
  • Build new infrastructure using Spark, Flink, and Airflow technologies
  • Create automated solutions for data users to enhance self-service
  • Collaborate with team members on monitoring and reliability improvements
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience
  • Proficient in Python, Scala, Go, or Java
  • Experience with cloud services and CI/CD
  • Familiarity with Airflow, Spark, Flink, and Kubernetes
  • Strong leadership and project monitoring
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Expertise in large-scale system design
