About this role

Paxos Labs is seeking a Smart Contract Engineer to enhance its DeFi protocol infrastructure for major financial enterprises. The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing, researching, and implementing smart contracts, focusing on lending and vault mechanisms within decentralized finance.

What you'll do

  • Research and design DeFi protocol mechanisms
  • Lead protocol design decisions considering tradeoffs
  • Develop Solidity contracts and comprehensive test suites
  • Maintain security standards for an open-source codebase

What they're looking for

  • Deep knowledge of lending codebases (e.g., Compound, Aave)
  • Experience shipping production Solidity code
  • Development of tests for smart contract code
  • Familiarity with AMMs and RFQs
  • Experience with smart contract tools like Foundry or Hardhat
  • Understanding of other smart contract languages (e.g., Vyper, Rust)
