Parallel Systems is looking for an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for autonomous battery-electric rail vehicles. The role involves working on safety-critical components while collaborating across mechanical, software, and autonomy teams in a dynamic environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses
  • Document safety-critical subsystems and conduct hazard analyses
  • Conduct hardware bring-up, bench testing, and debugging
  • Lead system integration with full lifecycle ownership
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including schematics and test reports

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 3+ years experience in power distribution and control logic
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and validation skills
  • Familiarity with CAD tools like SolidWorks and Altium
  • Knowledge of embedded communication protocols
  • Programming experience in Python, Rust, or C/C++
  • Understanding of safety frameworks like ISO 26262
