Continuous Improvement Engineer (York)
About this role
OBE seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence across manufacturing facilities in York, PA. This role applies Lean, Six Sigma, and GMP principles to stabilize processes, reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance delivery performance through cross-functional collaboration and data-driven problem-solving.
What you'll do
- Lead value stream mapping, time studies, and Kaizen events to identify inefficiencies and drive measurable improvements
- Develop standardized processes and documentation including Standard Work, PFDs, PFMEA, and Control Plans
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (A3, 5-Why, root cause analysis) to resolve complex operational challenges
- Support New Product Introduction by ensuring process readiness, validation, and quality system alignment
- Design and execute testing, validation, and statistical analysis plans to ensure process capability
- Conduct operational audits, monitor performance metrics, and sustain improvement gains across manufacturing systems
