About this role
Makai Labs is seeking an AI Engineer to develop AI systems aimed at automating business processes. This role entails close collaboration with engineering and design teams to create, iterate, and enhance AI solutions, allowing for project ownership and contribution to broader initiatives.
What you'll do
- Develop and enhance AI-driven applications and tools
- Rapidly create prototypes and iterate on projects
- Utilize LLMs and retrieval systems in workflows
- Assist in creating reusable tools and shared platforms
- Transform prototypes into reliable systems for clients
- Research and test new AI methodologies

- Strong Python programming skills
- Experience with AI applications development
- Familiarity with APIs and backend services
- Basic knowledge of React and TypeScript
- Understanding of Docker and local development
