Systems Applications Engineer - Optical
About this role
Lumilens seeks a Systems Applications Engineer to support next-generation AI networking platforms, working with high-speed optical transceivers (800G/1.6T) on advanced switches. You'll be the technical lead for customer deployments, debugging complex optical-electrical integration challenges while collaborating across product and ecosystem teams.
What you'll do
- Provide technical support for 51.2T and next-gen switch architectures with focus on 800G/1.6T optical transceivers
- Lead customer-facing technical engagements including demos, evaluations, and system bring-up with configuration and performance tuning
- Debug interoperability issues across AI switches, DSPs, and high-speed optical modules
- Collaborate cross-functionally with optical, ASIC, hardware, software, and thermal engineering teams
- Partner with foundries and ecosystem partners on technical alignment and integration
- Contribute to industry standards bodies and stay current with AI networking and optical interconnect trends
