About this role
Layer Health, founded by ML researchers from MIT and Harvard Medical School, is seeking an ML Engineer to design and deploy scalable ML systems that transform healthcare through LLM-powered clinical data analysis. You'll translate cutting-edge research into production while working with complex medical records in a cloud environment, collaborating across product, engineering, and research teams.
What you'll do
- Translate state-of-the-art LLM research into production systems delivering customer value
- Develop quality assurance methods including drift detection and performance observability tools
- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured clinical data in cloud environments
- Build robust monitoring, logging, and error handling for deployed ML systems
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to improve healthcare AI products
- Stay current with advancements in machine learning and AI research
