About this role
Full-time AV Design Engineer position in Charlotte, NC focused on creating comprehensive audiovisual system designs for commercial and enterprise clients. The role combines technical design work with cross-functional collaboration, requiring expertise in AutoCAD, major AV platforms, and system documentation to deliver solutions from concept through installation support.
What you'll do
- Design complete AV systems for conference rooms, auditoriums, and collaboration spaces
- Produce detailed 2D/3D AutoCAD drawings including signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, and floor plans
- Collaborate with sales, project managers, and field teams to meet client requirements and timelines
- Provide technical support during pre-sales, project execution, and installation phases
- Select appropriate AV equipment and solutions based on functional requirements and standards
- Review architectural drawings and manage design revisions and change orders
