About this role
Inversion seeks a Test Engineer II to lead vehicle-level qualification and acceptance testing for the Arc hypersonic reentry vehicle. You'll design and execute environmental test campaigns including vibration, thermal, and vacuum testing while managing data acquisition systems and collaborating with subsystem teams to verify critical requirements.
What you'll do
- Design and execute vehicle-level qualification and acceptance test campaigns for the Arc reentry vehicle
- Plan and conduct environmental testing including vibration, shock, acoustic, thermal, and thermal vacuum (TVAC)
- Design physical test setups and configure complex data acquisition systems
- Analyze test data and verify critical performance requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with subsystem owners
- Lead test execution for extreme launch and reentry environment validation
