About this role

Inversion seeks a Ground Software Engineer II to develop mission control software, telemetry processing pipelines, and data visualization tools for the Arc reentry vehicle. You'll build backend systems and operator interfaces that enable real-time vehicle monitoring and ground operations, working directly with the Arc Vehicle Software Engineering Manager.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain backend architectures, telemetry parsers, and command pipelines for ground operations and flight tests
  • Create low-latency operator displays and data visualization interfaces for vehicle testing and missions
  • Develop automated tools to orchestrate and monitor Hardware-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop simulations
  • Define communication protocols, serialization standards, and data definitions between flight and ground systems
  • Build and maintain high-rate time-series databases for post-test analysis and data archiving
