About this role
Inversion seeks an Avionics Harness Engineer II to design and integrate wire harnesses for advanced reentry spacecraft from concept through production. You'll work on hypersonic systems delivering payloads globally while collaborating across engineering disciplines in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
What you'll do
- Design and route wire harnesses using 3D CAD software with attention to electrical and mechanical constraints
- Select components and perform wire gauge, current capacity, and voltage drop calculations
- Develop wiring diagrams, 2D production drawings, and technical documentation to engineering standards
- Support harness qualification testing, manufacturing processes, and system integration activities
- Present technical designs at reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams on subsystem interfaces
- Contribute to Interface Control Documents and production-ready harness specifications
