Quality Assurance Engineer
About this role
IEM seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to support ISO 9001 compliance and quality operations at their Fremont manufacturing facility. You'll analyze metrics, develop quality procedures, drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma methodologies, and collaborate across departments to enhance product and process performance in electrical distribution systems.
What you'll do
- Analyze and monitor quality metrics, process performance, and cost of quality against defined parameters
- Develop and implement manufacturing procedures, PFMEA, and corrective/preventive actions
- Conduct statistical analysis, Six Sigma projects, and internal audits to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on design optimization and failure analysis
- Establish standard work, best practices, and quality training programs across the organization
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet customer specifications and industry standards (UL, IEEE)

- Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt minimum, Black Belt preferred)
- Statistical process control and data analysis

- SolidWorks CAD software
- Electrical connectors, harnesses, and switchgear systems knowledge
- IPC-620 standards and manufacturing processes
- Problem-solving and process improvement techniques
- Internal audit and compliance documentation
