About this role
Etched seeks a Power Systems Design Engineer to develop advanced power delivery solutions for high-power AI inference processors. You'll design multi-phase power systems, manage 48V conversion, conduct PCB analysis, and collaborate with vendors to meet extreme power demands in a cutting-edge hardware startup.
What you'll do
- Design and develop power supply solutions for extremely high-power processor applications with stringent performance requirements
- Select, design, and qualify power supply components while managing relationships with vendors
- Implement multi-phase power solutions for low-voltage processors ensuring stable power delivery
- Conduct PCB IR drop and power loss analysis using simulation tools to optimize power distribution networks
- Design power delivery systems for large BGA packages with proper thermal management
- Oversee testing and validation of power supply designs addressing performance and reliability issues
