IT Engineer
About this role
Etched seeks an IT Engineer in San Jose to be the operational backbone enabling high-performance chip and AI infrastructure development. You'll manage end-to-end IT operations—from device lifecycle and network security to identity management and automation—ensuring engineering teams can innovate without technical friction.
What you'll do
- Deliver hands-on IT support across ASIC design, software, operations, and computing teams
- Manage device lifecycle including procurement, imaging, MDM/MAM administration for Mac and Windows
- Design and maintain network infrastructure including Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, and access controls
- Implement and administer SSO, identity management, and user provisioning using Okta, Rippling, and Google Workspace
- Deploy endpoint security solutions (EDR, XDR, antivirus) and enforce compliance standards
- Develop automation scripts and monitoring systems to reduce manual workload and increase reliability
