Operating Engineer II
About this role
The Operating Engineer II maintains and operates commercial building systems including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment while delivering excellent customer service to tenants. This role requires independent problem-solving, preventive maintenance expertise, and on-call support in a fast-paced property management environment.
What you'll do
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems
- Respond to tenant service requests promptly and professionally while maintaining building compliance
- Perform predictive, preventive, and routine maintenance with limited supervision
- Document and maintain fire safety systems, fire extinguishers, and alarm systems
- Support contractors and special projects including event setups and construction work
- Handle single-phase electrical repairs and plumbing fixture maintenance throughout the property
