About this role

Composio seeks a Deployed Systems Engineer to build production-grade on-premises deployment infrastructure for AI agents. You'll establish best practices for managing stateful agent runtimes in air-gapped and regulated customer environments, transforming manual deployments into a scalable, repeatable product.

What you'll do

  • Own on-prem deployment lifecycle including Helm charts, release trains, and upgrade/rollback procedures
  • Consolidate diverged customer deployments back to a single supported configuration with safety guardrails
  • Build structured onboarding processes to reduce deployment time from weeks to days
  • Debug across the full stack: Kubernetes, Temporal workflows, storage backends, and authentication pipelines
  • Drive security operations: CVE triage, patching, RCAs, and customer bulletins
  • Co-own tool integration patching with the platform team and dogfood Composio internally

What they're looking for

  • Kubernetes and Helm chart authoring
  • On-premises and air-gapped infrastructure management
  • Linux systems administration and troubleshooting
  • Fleet management and version control across multiple deployments
  • Technical writing for RCAs and security documentation
  • AI agent systems and language model experience
  • Temporal workflows (optional)
  • Self-hosted deployment platforms like Replicated

Benefits

  • Work on unsolved infrastructure problems at the frontier of AI agent deployment
  • Join a funded startup (Series A, $25M) with strong founder network
  • San Francisco location with high-growth team
  • Opportunity to define industry standards for on-prem AI infrastructure

Likely interview questions

  • Walk us through your experience running software in environments you don't control—on-prem, air-gapped, or regulated. What was the hardest deployment problem you've solved?
  • Tell us about a time you managed Kubernetes and Helm charts across multiple customer environments. How did you handle version skew and rolling out updates without breaking existing deployments?
