About this role

Apex is seeking a Spacecraft Manufacturing Engineer to lead the assembly, integration, and production of satellite buses in Los Angeles. You'll collaborate across teams to develop manufacturing strategies, optimize assembly procedures, manage product transitions from development to production, and ensure quality standards for advanced space systems.

What you'll do

  • Develop manufacturing plans and strategies with cross-functional teams for aerospace components and spacecraft systems
  • Design and implement assembly procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing tools/fixtures
  • Lead product cut-in and ramp-up from development through production phases
  • Review designs for manufacturability and provide feedback to enhance assembly efficiency
  • Develop quality control measures, inspection criteria, and non-conformance resolution processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance quality
