About this role

Apex is seeking a Spacecraft GNC Engineer to design and develop guidance, navigation, and control systems for commercial satellite buses. You'll work on clean-sheet spacecraft architecture, leading algorithm development, system analysis, and hardware integration while collaborating across engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Develop GNC algorithms for attitude/orbit determination, control, and precision pointing
  • Conduct spacecraft dynamics analysis and performance simulations
  • Design and test control systems including reaction wheels, thrusters, and magnetic torquers
  • Collaborate with spacecraft engineers to define requirements and ensure system integration
  • Perform trade studies for optimal GNC configurations considering power, mass, and cost
  • Develop test plans and analyze telemetry data for anomaly diagnosis
