Simulation Engineer
About this role
Apex is seeking a Simulation Engineer to design and maintain closed-loop spacecraft test platforms (6DOF, SITL, HITL) for satellite bus validation. You'll develop simulation models, execute testing strategies, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable satellite system performance in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
What you'll do
- Own closed-loop spacecraft simulation platforms from design through deployment
- Develop and maintain core simulation capabilities including scheduling, data routing, diagnostics, and Monte Carlo features
- Create simulation models, emulators, and hardware/software interfaces for units under test
- Define test requirements with cross-functional teams and execute comprehensive test procedures
- Analyze test data to identify trends and generate insights for improvements
- Debug complex interactions between test units and simulation systems
