About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Staff Robotics Software Engineer to lead the development of multi-asset autonomous vehicle systems, focusing on perception, planning, and safe navigation capabilities. You'll serve as a technical lead and senior individual contributor, driving end-to-end ownership of robotics software across the product lifecycle while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do
- Own multi-year software roadmaps spanning multiple teams and stakeholders for autonomous vehicle capabilities
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems
- Develop and validate sensor suites, perception algorithms, and motion planning algorithms through simulation and real-world testing
- Mentor junior team members while performing high-impact individual contributor work across the perception and planning stack
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure effective system integration
- Travel up to 20% of the time to co-locate with end-users and other teams
