DevOps Engineer
About this role
Alarm.com is hiring a DevOps Engineer in Tysons, Virginia to support and automate enterprise data platforms and messaging infrastructure across hybrid on-premises, Kubernetes, and cloud environments. You'll work with technologies like Kafka, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, and relational databases while collaborating across engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure reliability and scalability.
What you'll do
- Support and automate enterprise data platforms and messaging infrastructure (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Redis, databases)
- Maintain reliability, scalability, and performance of production platforms across hybrid environments
- Develop Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and deployment automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Build and maintain observability capabilities including monitoring, alerting, logging, and telemetry
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and participate in on-call incident response
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and work with security teams on compliance and access management
