About this role

Inalab Consulting seeks an experienced Network Engineer to support government client infrastructure in Fairfax, VA. You'll configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex networks including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs while collaborating with enterprise teams. Must obtain Public Trust clearance and hold current CCNA certification.

What you'll do

  • Configure and maintain government networks including routers, switches, VPNs, and encoders/decoders
  • Design, test, and evaluate new network solutions and hardware
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues with timely communication
  • Manage ServiceNow tickets and coordinate incident resolution with application and support teams
  • Develop standard operating procedures and user documentation
  • Identify opportunities to automate monitoring and improve operational efficiency

  • Network infrastructure design and administration
  • Cisco, Digi, Cradlepoint, and Fortinet router/modem firmware
  • Voice over IP (VoIP) and digital-to-analog conversions
  • Cellular technology (4G/LTE, 5G) and signal automation
  • LEO satellite telecommunications
  • CCNA certification (CCNP desired)
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Incident management and troubleshooting
