DFM Project Engineer
About this role
Xometry is seeking a DFM Project Engineer to collaborate with clients from various industries, focusing on the manufacturability of their designs. The role involves recommending solutions leveraging Xometry's technology and ensuring order execution meets customer expectations.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies
- Assist production in troubleshooting order execution
- Interface with machine shops, fabrication shops, and customers
- Manage special projects to expand manufacturing capabilities
- Collaborate with OEM equipment makers and internal experts
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field
- 2+ years in engineering and manufacturing environments
- Manufacturing engineering experience, especially in Injection Molding
- Knowledge of equipment selection and process cycle times
- Experience with suppliers and OEM equipment
- Understanding of GD&T and QA practices
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software, preferably SolidWorks
- Ability to identify DFM issues from CAD models
