About this role
Tenstorrent is looking for a Senior Physical Design Engineer to lead the top-level implementation of advanced AI and CPU System-on-Chip (SoC) designs. This hybrid position requires collaboration across diverse teams to optimize chip designs while ensuring quality and meeting deadlines.
What you'll do
- Implement top-level SoC designs for AI and CPUs
- Collaborate across architecture, RTL, and packaging teams
- Create sophisticated floorplans, power grids, and clock networks
- Ensure design closure at the chip level
- Optimize chip-level implementations for power, performance, and area
- Manage full-chip physical design complexities
What they're looking for
- 8+ years of SoC physical design experience
- Expertise in hierarchical floorplanning and power grid design
- Proficiency in timing closure and physical verification
- Experience with complex, multi-million gate designs
- Knowledge of bump planning and multi-voltage domain designs
- Strong collaboration skills across disciplines
- Attention to detail in driving design closure
- Ability to work under aggressive schedules
