SpaceX is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join its Construction Projects Team in Bastrop, TX. This role involves collaborating with various engineering disciplines to design and manage projects focused on power systems infrastructure crucial for the company's mission to enable human life on Mars.
What you'll do
- Lead the project team through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning processes
- Develop and issue design documentation and reports
- Manage construction contracts with subcontractors
- Resolve on-site design and construction conflicts
- Coordinate with electrical utility providers for reliable power service
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or technology
- 3+ years of experience in power systems design or construction
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems
- Familiarity with transformers and switchgear
- Experience with UPS systems and backup generators
- Ability to troubleshoot and assess issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic AutoCAD/Revit skills
