SpaceX is seeking a New Graduate Mechanical Engineer for the Starshield project to contribute to ambitious space exploration initiatives. Candidates will engage in hardware design, testing, and production, while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to meet project goals.
What you'll do
- Oversee hardware from design to production and on-orbit operations
- Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization
- Iterate designs to inform product direction
- Implement design for manufacturability (DFM) principles
- Establish efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to integration
- Conduct environmental and performance testing on hardware
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM
- Experience with CAD or FEA software
- Mechanical/electromechanical design experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Understanding of GD&T
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Structural analysis knowledge
- Demonstrated ownership of engineering projects
