About this role
SpaceX seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for its Starlink PCBA production to enhance and manage manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly in high-volume environments, as well as a strong understanding of quality and reliability improvement methods.
What you'll do
- Oversee PCBA manufacturing processes and products for in-house production
- Drive volume production and manage nonconforming product
- Collaborate on new product introductions with design engineers
- Conduct process capability analysis for new equipment selection
- Implement safety improvements in PCBA production
- Track production schedules, defect rates, and optimization opportunities
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 1+ years in manufacturing engineering or related field
- Experience with high volume production
- Knowledge of IPC standards
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Familiarity with statistical methods
- Six Sigma experience
- Strong communication skills
