About this role
Space Kinetic is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer & Machinist to contribute to innovative space technology through rapid prototyping. The role involves operating and programming various CNC machines to manufacture essential components, supporting flight-ready prototypes.
What you'll do
- Manufacture and assemble parts for rapid prototyping
- Generate CAM packages for manufacturing
- Operate CNC Mills and lathes, specifically Okuma machines
- Refine and iterate prototypes for flight testing
- Collaborate with engineering teams on design needs
- Adapt quickly to Space Kinetic's culture and requirements
What they're looking for
- 8+ years as a Machinist
- Proficient in Mastercam or similar CAM packages
- Extensive experience with 3 and 5-axis CNC machines
- Setup skills for complex parts and tight tolerances
- Ability to meet project milestones
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Leadership experience in mentoring machinists
