Skild AI is seeking a System Identification & Controls Engineer to model and validate robotic dynamics at a large scale. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in system identification and a strong background in controls for real robotic hardware.
What you'll do
- Plan and execute system identification on various robot platforms
- Design tests and determine which experiments to run
- Characterize actuators and motors in collaboration with teams
- Fit dynamics models and evaluate their accuracy
- Apply classical controls techniques on hardware
- Build automated identification pipelines for fleet scaling

- MS or PhD in relevant engineering field
- Hands-on system identification experience
- Strong foundation in classical controls
- Understanding of robot hardware and mechatronics
- Experience with data collection and parameter estimation
- Proficient in Python and C++
