Electro-Optical Engineer
About this role
Seurat Technologies is seeking an Electro-Optical Engineer to serve as a key link among various teams focused on high-power laser testing and 3D printing processes. The role involves troubleshooting and supporting complex systems, as well as developing CAD models and standard operating procedures in a cleanroom environment.
What you'll do
- Conduct tests and generate reports on high-power laser platforms
- Characterize device performance and manage backup device inventory
- Create and maintain CAD drawings and procedural documentation for Light Valves
- Resolve issues for cleanroom technicians and oversee daily quality inspections
- Troubleshoot system-level issues in 3D printers with process engineering
- Assist with installation and calibration of electro-optic devices
What they're looking for
- Experience in electro-optical or laser systems manufacturing
- Hands-on cleanroom experience with sensitive optics
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software
- Knowledge in executing design of experiments (DOEs)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to collaborate across functional teams
- Familiarity with data tracking systems
- Experience with liquid crystal devices or semiconductor wafers
