About this role
Saronic Technologies is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical infrastructure for its maritime operations. This position involves setting standards for various mechanical systems and playing a key role in the capital project lifecycle, requiring expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and process utilities.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain mechanical design standards.
- Participate in project scope development and documentation.
- Issue requests for proposals for capital projects.
- Review and provide input on third-party mechanical designs.
- Conduct field visits during construction projects.
- Manage small capital projects as needed.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- Licensed engineer (PE preferred)
- 5+ years in industrial mechanical systems design
- Strong knowledge of building codes
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Experience with capital project life cycle
- Innovative problem-solving skills
- Design management experience preferred
