About this role
The Wire Harness Design Engineer will manage the design of electrical interconnects for aerospace systems, focusing on production electronics and actuation systems. This hands-on role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and requires qualifications in aerospace wire harness design.
What you'll do
- Design wire harnesses for aerospace actuation systems
- Maintain documentation including schematics and bills of material
- Author functional test procedures for harness assemblies
- Support qualification testing and oversee initial builds
- Collaborate with DERs during certification activities
- Drive design for manufacturability and reliability
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in related engineering field
- 3+ years in commercial aerospace wire harness design
- Experience with functional test procedures
- Knowledge of AS9102 first article inspection
- Familiarity with aircraft wiring standards
- Experience with electrical CAD tools
- U.S. Person status under ITAR/EAR
- Ability to travel up to 35%
