Founding Engineer
About this role
Join a well-funded early-stage infrastructure startup as a Founding Engineer to build a graph-native context and memory platform for AI workloads. You'll own core systems including query execution, storage layers, and distributed components while working directly with the founding team to shape long-term architecture and product direction.
What you'll do
- Design and ship core infrastructure components: query engines, graph storage layers, and distributed systems
- Make architectural decisions with lasting product impact in collaboration with founding team
- Contribute to benchmarking and research work that defines the technical category
- Lead architecture reviews and manage complex technical trade-offs with production consequences
- Help establish engineering standards and mentor the team as it scales
- Own large, ambiguous problems from conception through production deployment
