ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced Exterior Lighting Design & Release Engineer to develop advanced automotive lighting systems from concept to production in Foster City, CA. The role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure high-quality designs align with performance and regulatory standards.
What you'll do
- Design exterior lighting solutions for vehicles from concept through production
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to meet engineering objectives
- Solve technical problems using expertise in plastics and optical design
- Conduct root-cause analysis for lighting system failures
- Manage Tier 1 supplier relationships and engineering change management
- Align design deliverables with commercial requirements

- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years in Exterior Lamp development
- Proficient in CATIA V5/V6
- Strong understanding of engineering principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of automotive regulations (FMVSS, ECE, NCAP)
- Ability to manage project priorities
