Vast is seeking a Dynamics Engineer in Long Beach, California, to aid in the development of systems for artificial-gravity space stations. The individual will work with the Structural Dynamics team focusing on load and environment predictions during various operational phases of the space station.
What you'll do
- Derive load requirements from system specifications
- Assist with vibration and shock requirement tailoring
- Evaluate vendor hardware against internal predictions
- Develop post-processing tools for dynamic testing
- Maintain and correlate dynamic prediction models

- Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 1+ years in loads and environment prediction
- Experience with vibration testing
- Familiarity with Femap/NASTRAN
- Knowledge of spacecraft launch environments
- Ability to communicate dynamic concepts
