Saronic Technologies is looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to enhance the performance of autonomous maritime systems. This role involves hands-on software development, field testing, and problem-solving to ensure operational reliability and effectiveness in real-world maritime environments.
What you'll do
- Develop and improve software for autonomy and networking
- Deploy and validate software in real maritime conditions
- Analyze mission performance data to guide software enhancements
- Integrate new autonomy features with existing systems
- Collaborate with end-users to adapt systems for operational needs
- Troubleshoot software and networking issues during deployments
What they're looking for
- Proficient in C++, Rust, or Python
- Experience in robotics or embedded systems
- Knowledge of networking protocols like TCP/IP and UDP
- Familiar with sensor technologies (cameras, GPS, etc.)
- Ability to debug complex systems
- Adaptability to dynamic environments
- Willingness to travel for field testing
- Understand motion planning and control algorithms
