Saronic Technologies is looking for a Camera Optomechanical Engineer to design and integrate imaging systems for Autonomous Service Vessels. The role requires a blend of optical and mechanical expertise to develop robust camera enclosures and systems that perform in challenging maritime environments.
What you'll do
- Design optomechanical assemblies for cameras and sensors
- Collaborate with engineers to define requirements for camera systems
- Conduct tolerance analysis for marine environments
- Integrate commercial and custom components within SWaP constraints
- Develop test plans for environmental and performance validation
- Document designs and changes throughout the product lifecycle
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Optical Engineering
- 2+ years in optomechanical system design
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo)
- Experience with FEA and thermal modeling
- Knowledge of optical principles and lens selection
- Familiarity with environmental sealing and thermal management
- Understanding of camera sensor technologies
- Experience with unmanned systems preferred
