About this role
Snowflake is seeking a Software Engineer for AIM Virtualization to build AI-driven database interoperability solutions that enable seamless migration of applications to Snowflake without code changes. You'll work on database internals, semantic analysis, and wire protocols while leveraging AI for software synthesis across a mission-critical platform.
What you'll do
- Develop AI-based solutions across the platform including syntactic/semantic analysis, wire protocols, and data ingest/egress
- Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and field engineers to support customer database transitions
- Define and improve engineering processes around AI-based software synthesis workflows
- Tackle complex database implementation challenges at the intersection of database internals and practical applications
- Work on query parsing, optimization, and execution components
- Pioneer industry-first virtualization framework capabilities
