About this role
Freeform seeks a Software Engineering Intern to contribute to core systems powering autonomous metal 3D printing factories. You'll work on controls, real-time data acquisition, and geometry processing pipelines alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team in Los Angeles.
What you'll do
- Support design and development of production-scale metal 3D printing software systems
- Collaborate with process, control, and mechanical engineers to integrate control algorithms
- Improve and scale high-rate data acquisition, storage, and retrieval systems
- Develop software pipeline converting customer geometries into machine-ready print instructions
