Electronics Test Engineer (Early Career)
About this role
Northwood, a space infrastructure company, seeks an early-career Electronics Test Engineer to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for satellite ground station systems. You'll design test hardware, build automation software, and manage test assets throughout the product lifecycle while supporting environmental and qualification testing.
What you'll do
- Develop integrated test strategies, requirements, and execution plans from concept through production
- Design test fixtures, harnesses, and electrical systems for production and development RF/electrical testing
- Build modular test automation software in Python, Rust, or C++ for Linux environments
- Maintain test asset reliability through calibration, debugging, and continuous improvement
- Create hardware simulators for hardware-in-the-loop and automated integration testing
- Support environmental testing (thermal, vibration, shock) with instrumentation and procedures
