About this role

Lynk seeks a Wireless Engineer to design and implement air interfaces for satellite-direct-to-phone services, focusing on PHY/MAC layer algorithms, baseband modem development, and signal processing for next-generation satellite-based mobile networks.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement PHY and MAC layer algorithms for satellite communication links
  • Develop baseband modems on software-defined radio platforms
  • Evaluate algorithm performance through simulation and target platform testing
  • Create test software and drivers for unit, integration, and system testing
  • Perform link budget analysis for LTE and 5G satellite-to-device systems
  • Benchmark payload software applications with team members

  • Communication theory and signal processing (filtering, channel estimation, equalization, MIMO, channel coding)
  • Software-defined radio (SDR) design and implementation
  • 3GPP standards knowledge (LTE and 5G PHY, MAC, RRC specifications)

  • DSP algorithm implementation in HDL (SystemVerilog, VHDL)
  • Test equipment operation (signal generators, spectrum analyzers)
