About this role
Lynk seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze satellite communication payloads and systems for a company pioneering satellite-to-phone technology. You'll lead CAD modeling, thermal and structural analysis, integration testing, and cross-functional collaboration with electrical and software teams on innovative space hardware.
What you'll do
- Design and model satellite/payload hardware and ground equipment using SolidWorks with thermal, vibration, and structural analyses
- Perform thermal analysis of components and integrated systems across all operational modes
- Support satellite integration, testing, delivery to launch, and vendor coordination
- Collaborate with systems, electrical, RF, and software teams on mechanical design and layout
- Design mechanical testing configurations for payload communications performance in lab and on-orbit
- Assist with hardware assembly, prototyping, integration, and technical documentation
