About this role

Lynk is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to develop command, control, and communications software for satellites that enable global connectivity. You'll design and test spacecraft flight systems on rapid timelines, working with Linux and embedded systems in a small, collaborative team.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop flight software for satellite command and data handling, power, communications, and guidance systems
  • Write Linux-based embedded applications that interact with satellite hardware via CAN, I2C, SPI, RS-422, RS-485, and other protocols
  • Develop and execute the full software lifecycle from requirements through verification and validation testing
  • Build telemetry, instrumentation, and data-capture tools to support flatsat prototype testing
  • Participate in design and code reviews to maintain best practices and quality standards
  • Support operations and payload teams by implementing their unique requirements into flight software
